About Little Red Playhouse Preschool
Little Red Playhouse Preschool was founded in 2007 as a licensed family daycare. Our program started with 1 teacher and only 4 students. What started as a small part time childcare 2 days a week, quickly grew into a 5 day a week program with 3 lead teachers and serving up to 24 students. Even with this unexpected growth we have continued to stick to our philosophy of small class sizes and personal family approach. We have kept the 6:1 ratio and the “family” feel environment that we believe is so important at this stage of their lives.
When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Preschool, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives. This is accomplished through a balance between academic exposure and playful discovery.
Our Programs
Learning Through Play
Tot Program
Our tot program caters to 2 year olds. This program is designed with the unique needs of toddlers in mind. We focus on their social development and expose them to various age appropriate activities in a fun and engaging way. Toddlers need to turn two by December 2nd to start the school year in September. Preschool Program
Our Preschool program caters to 3 year olds. Three year olds love to discover and learn through play! We introduce early preschool skills such as letters, numbers, shapes and colors and give them lots of opportunities to explore. Contact us to take a tour of our Preschool program.
Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K program is designed for 4 to 5 year olds. We offer a strong kindergarten readiness program exposing children to Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies in addition to focusing on their social and emotional development. All learning takes place through play and hands on activities. Free play is a big part of development at this age so we give them lots of opportunities to explore together.
